Website Menus & Javascript Etc.

Well, I have once again removed my Javascript menu and replaced it with a fully CSS one. This works well, and eliminates extra unneeded Javascript. Should be adding a new section to my site that details my outdoor water garden project. I am planning on building a 4' waterwheel and make a plan available online as well.

Menu - Theater Section

Well, I re-replaced my CSS menu with my previous Javascript menu - I had some troubles with the CSS menu and decided I needed more testing time before I make it live...

On to other things - I am again working on my theater section of the site...I originaly had a single theater page (with various plays on it) but have since cut the page into seperate parts to make it easier. I am currently in the process of updating this section with additional details and photos...

New menu added to site...

Well, it has been quite a long time since I added anything here, but am busy working on the site once again. I have just replaced my Javascript menu system with a smoother CSS menu. Was able to incorporate it on my blog as well...

Lockwatcher's Website

Well, I went live with a wider version of my site tonight. I think it works better (and looks better too!).

I added a tub sink to my workshop this past week. This should really help in cleaning up brushes, hands, tools, etc. Installing one is easier than you think. You need to add some new plumbling, but the drain can go directly to your floor drain (if it has a trap!).

Cuyahoga Train Trip

Took a trip to the Cuyahoga Valley area for a ride on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. This turned out to be a fun day trip. The train travels through the Cuyahoga Valley through the national park. The cars are fully enclosed and heated and/or air conditioned depending on the season. A 3 hour trip covers 48 miles, and they have restrooms in every car. They even have a dining car on board that sells drinks, snacks, and souvenirs. The trip we took is only $15.00 per person - not a bad price for a mini-vacation. Also available is the bike/train option - you ride the trail on bike to one of the various train stations, and ride back (with your bike) on the train.

Here is where you can find more information on the train: Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad

Alive at last!

My site now is alive...while not full of features and content, my tests are over and I now have my site "working" - I was having some problems in floating my right column, and finally figured it out. My entire site is layed out using CSS. I have used tables only where a table is needed or practical (such as a parts list). My theater page is slowing gowing in size (with picture to come soon), and my wood working page has grown as well (check out my section on electrolytic rust removal).

I am using Lunarpages to host my site - I searched and looked at various hosting companies, and found them to be the best so far (you can reach them by clicking on their logo on the right column).

I am hoping to have my contact page up by tommorow.

I am also testing out (beta) a copy of Coffee Cup Software's new item; The Shopping Cart. This application should allow almost anyone to open up their own store on the internet. The system utilizes paypal to keep things safe. More on this later...
